Biography

I received my Bachelor of Science degree with a major in geology from Mississippi State Univerisity and recieved my Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law in 1990. While at MC Law, I was a member of the Law Review and published a comment entitled “What is a common Enterprise – A Queston of Legistative Intent”. In the 32 years since law school graduation, I have focused my law practice primarily in litigation within a broad spectrum including bankruptcy, antitrust, insurance coverage, zoning, and environmental law. Recently I have focused my practice on mass tort litigation – particularly toxic torts representing a large group of plaintiffs related to Paraquat (an herbicide widely used in the Mississippi Delta) exposure. Additionally, I have represented Mississippi Marines and their families in relation to toxic exposure at Camp Lejuene in North Carolina. I also have experience in intellectual property and oil and gas title issues. Subsequent to graduation from law school, I have had numerous business interests including retail, real estate, and clothing manufacturing and have held positions as the majority equity owner in numerous businesses. My experience as an entrepreneur, a business owner, and attorney gives me a unique perspective as a creative problem solver in a wide array of legal matters. I reside in Yazoo County, Mississippi.
